During my time at BBC Radio 4, I worked across two programmes: The Media Show and Last Word.

Last Word is Radio 4's obituary programme and is presented by Matthew Bannister. While working on the show, I produced dozens of obituaries, including for the chef Antonio Carluccio, the singer and actor David Cassidy, Sima Wali who devoted her life to campaigning for the rights of Afghan women, the sex worker Laura Lee, and the model Christine Keeler .

Please see below for clips from The Media Show and obituary examples.

“There was this massive conversation about podcasting being strictly for white men, and we really wanted to change that...” Imriel Morgan tells The Media Show about Wanna Be, her podcast for black women entrepreneurs.

Remembering the adventurer Norman Baker, who navigated a treacherous 3,275-mile voyage across the Atlantic on a papyrus raft captained by the Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl.

Remembering the bush pilot Heather Stewart, known as ‘All-weather Heather’, who braved the war zones of the Horn of Africa to deliver medical supplies, food and other cargoes. (Dec 2017)

Remembering the composer John Morris, who was best known for a long association with Mel Brooks that earned him Academy Award nominations for “Blazing Saddles” and “The Elephant Man.” This package includes an interview with John’s daughter Bronwen, and Mel Brooks. (Jan 2018)
